Eg if someone wants a smartphone and knows nothing about them, they automatically get the iPhone. This means that when old people have a smartphone, it is almost universally an iPhone. That's not to say that a ton of younger people don't also fall into that category, but I definitely wouldn't call them "tech savvy", maybe "connected" or "social". But? NOT tech savvy.
